Went to event at local Temple last night…. …
We went to a Sonkran event at a local temple last night.
It was very busy, with many people there, even saw another 'Farang' (Foreigner in Thai).
The event was reminiscent of the old Fairs we used to have in England, with stalls such as 'Knock the Cans off the shelf' , 'Burst the balloons with darts' and 'rifle range' etc. The atmosphere was electric, might be because there were so many cables across the floor everywhere 😀 .
It was an enjoyable evening, and the Temple must have done well, judging by the money being spent.
This event will go on for about five days :yikes:
If you ever come to Thailand, come during Sonkran, it's HOT (high 30's and early 40's), it's fun and make sure you visit one of the Temple events, you will not regret it!
Sonkran starts April 13th and goes on until about 18th April, longer or shorter in some areas.
