Last night Mark Zuckerberg’s fan page on Facebook was attacked by hackers, who took over the page and posted a message, pretending to be him: "Let the hacking begin: If Facebook needs money, instead of going to the banks, why doesn't Facebook let its users invest in Facebook in a social way? Why not transform Facebook into a 'social business' …"
The message was soon 'liked' by over 1,800 users and had acquired 500 comments.
This is a lesson to us all, well known or not, to take more care of our internet presence security.
How he got hacked is not yet apparent. Whether he was lax with his password, or using an unsecured wi-fi connection is not known.
His page has now been removed.
The hacker attack happened just days after French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s Facebook account was also hacked.
